It was great to work with a local company for our flooring. Dashaun was knowledgeable and accommodating when we had concerns and questions. He made sure our entire project was completed on our timeline.

Deshaun was excellent in helping with getting the right carpet/padding and time frame to complete my project. Communication was concise with discussion of moving furniture, removal of pad/carpet and installation. The installation crew worked smoothly and cleaned up efficiently. The carpet and padding are an upgrade for the home.I will return again for future projects.

Dashaun was great when he came over to provide samples and talk us through options. The two installers work hard and moved quickly to complete our upper level and stairs. Extremely happy.

Great quality carpet and great service

The store manager, Dashaun assisted us in making our decision in making our carpet purchase. He was knowledgeable, providing us, with valuable information about products. He answered our questions and concerns we had leaving us assured of our product choice given the information we received.We were pleased that the price met the estimate we felt it would cost us.The installation done by Nielsen, was given with quality craftsmanship from the installation to the cleanup. We had questions about the layout but were put at ease with his professional opinion. Our flooring looks great.We'd recommend Flooring Expo by Carpet King.

I had a great overall experience with Flooring Expo. Dashaun was very helpful with product selection and provided a nice variety of options to choose from. And the price was considerably less than I’d expected. The install guys were phenomenal as well. Got here bright and early, and got the job done quickly and professionally!!

Our salesperson Tatiana was relatively new but helpful. Deshaun, the Burnsville Store Manager, was very knowledgeable and helped Tatiana in taking care of the carpeting needs for my wife and I. He also got approval from his District Manager to match a price quote we had gotten from Home Depot, plus he gave us a free upgrade on the carpeting we had selected. The installers were a hard working team of 3 young guys. Very polite and responsive to my wife's request to do extra vacuuming during the removal of our old carpeting to keep the dust level down. The quality of their installation was excellent. My wife has a good eye for detail and she couldn't find a single issue with their installation. All in all, we had an excellent experience with the Burnsville Flooring Expo store and we will definitely turn to them again when we re-carpet the rest of our home.

No way! Look at the botched jobs!

We had a great experience choosing our carpet here. Lots of assistance. Ordering to installation was just a few weeks. Excellent communication and installation.

*This review is not solely for the Burnsville store, I worked with a traveling sales person* I got carpet as a gift for my grandparents, and with my grandma being in the hospital. The sale of the carpet went quickly, Mike was very nice, and I wanted the carpet installed as soon as possible. But, Mike did not ask me or include moving furniture in the sales agreement so I had to add the service and pay an additional amount. The carpet installation started two days later. I was told I would get a call between 7-10am for an eta. I got a call at 8 am that they were on their way and they were at the house by 8:19 am. I live about 30 minutes away from my grandparents house so I was caught off guard. There was an area of rot in the subfloor that had to be replaced and I got a call from the installers on my way to my grandparents house stating they were unable to complete the job. This issue was resolved quickly by management and I was arranging to get the subfloor fixed. The installers notified me that they were not going to haul the old carpet away which was included in the sales agreement. They also notified me they did not have enough carpet to finish the job. So we decided that on a later date the job would be completed after the floor was repaired. I paid for the carpet to be removed since it would be over a weekend and I did not want the old carpet sitting outside my grandparent’s house for an extended period. I called Flooring Expo to resolve this and Marty said I should’ve called them to pick up the carpet - I found that strange because they were the ones who told me they wouldn’t take it! Marty also said I overpaid for it to be removed and did not provide a full refund. When the installers came to finish the job I was again told I would get a call with an eta between 7-10am and did not get a call. I called them and after a few people they got me in contact with installers who said they would arrive between 2:30-3:00pm. I waited at my grandparents house from 8am - 6pm until they finally arrived at 6pm after additional calls. The job was completed well but it was not a pleasure doing business with Flooring Expo by Carpet King and I will not be returning as a customer or recommending their services. The communication between the installers and the company was severely lacking and it led to a very poor experience.

HAVE HAD CARPET DONE FOR 35 YEARS IN SEVERAL HOMES NEVER ONCE A PROBLEM UNTIL FLOOR EXPO - THE ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE OF MY LIFE! Ordered carpet. Ist group of installers arrived at 10 AM and immediately told us they needed to go to lunch and forgot to bring staples and stretcher. Only had a knee kicker ( to do a whole house) but before they left for lunch wanted to know if we were gonna take care of them. They said verbatim " ya know we take of you IF you take care of us" Then told us they don't get paid for nothing to move furniture. Then said all the rooms should be empty. We were told we paid for furniture removal and were required to provide a list of furniture to be moved. So we did. We moved every piece but 1 Armoire. After that I did not want them back - clearly the performance would be based on the tip amount. At that point we should have cancelled but Marti in the store said all would be fine she gave us her word. Which means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. They send another crew - nice enough but spoke nearly any English. They wanted to carpet the stairs landing first - the area they would be hauling on all day. When they did start it was clear they did not know how to do a step. My partner tried for 30 min to explain how crucial it is to not cut carpet too short. He explained and they cut carpet to short. The next step looks the same - cut carpet too short both times. Their answer is to piece the step edge together all along the step up in bedroom - above a piece of marble in the stair back. It is the first thing you see when going into bedroom. Simply cut more carpet off and install several pieces. We have had several conversations - the second crew cannot do stairs we have more stairs. So we demanded an installer that can do stairs. They refused - only would send back the guy who does not know how to do stairs to do more stairs. Why would you finish your house with an installer that already has 2 huge screw ups that he cannot fix. Two areas where the carpet has been cut too short to remedy. So here we sit with our house totally torn apart and their corp office registered agent said " nothing more we will do. So now we have to file this in court. I should have trusted my gut from the first I staller and been done with them. But they have 7000 dollars. We are screwed and they do not have a care in the world. ONCE THEY GET CARPET ANYWHERE IN YOUR HOME AND SCREW UP THEIR ANSWER IS " WE JUST NEED TO FINISE THE MISTAKE " PIECE IT, CUT IT OR WHATEVER. Unfortunately when you have a nice home and spend 7 grand for new carpet - having it pieced all over is not acceptable. We have been left hung out to dry with no other options. A TOTAL MISFIT NIGHTMARE! THESE PICTURES ARE THE QUALITY OF WORK YOU WILL RECEIVE AT FLOOR EXPO. The carpet is cut so short you can put your fingers up where it is too short to wrap.

The installing team was amazing!

We had a great experience with Carpet King and we would highly recommend them!! To start we had three different quotes from companies that were recommended to us. Though what sold us was our sales representative Dashaun. He was kind, knowledgeable and very professional not at one point did we ever feel like he was trying only to make a sale. When he came to our house to do our estimate it took him about 30 minutes to do the measuring, if not less whereas other companies were at our house for three hours. While he measured he brought in only few carpet samples for us to look at which helped make our decision not so overwhelming. He gave us different quotes on different carpets we were interested that evening so we had an idea what it was going to cost. Dashaun was very prompt when it came to returning my text and answering any questions I had and also giving us quotes for different carpet. Once we chose the carpet, it took approximately. a week to come in and he gave us a choice for install even the next day if we wanted. The installers were also amazing. They did our home which was approximately 2100 ft.² in about eight hours. They were very efficient and respectful of our home and left our house in meticulous shape. The carpet looks beautiful! We are very happy with our choices and our amazing salesman Dashaun! Thank You !!

Mr. Smith is a good listener and told me that they would be able and willing to re-stretch the carpeting in our family room as well as a hallway. In two days, my wife and I received an email quote from Dashaun Smith. We felt with the reasonable price and assurance the work would be completed in a timely fashion; that Flooring Expo Burnsville should schedule our work to be done. We were promptly given a date only six days from the date the original contact was made! WOW! They were quick to get to this project. Three workman showed up to our unit and completed the work in approximately 3 hours. They re-stretched the carpet and removed 1 and 1/2 inches of carpet. (Yes, we had quite the ripple from north to south across our family room!) The crew did a nice job of cleaning and vacuuming upon completion (including hauling away the trimmed pieces of carpeting. Highly recommended Dashaun Smith and Flooring Expo of Burnsville. They truly are a recommended vender at the Gramercy Club Cooperative Apartments in Burnsville, MN. This is well deserved! Randall A. The crew was very professional, polite and courteous. Done in one day, Carpet was removed and disposed of, Little to no clean up. I was very impressed. Very happy with carpeting replacement in three rooms and new lvp in kitchen. Tons of product samples in store and work was done as soon as product was received. Worked with Lisa, who helped narrow down the options based on budget and performance desires.

Do not purchase carpet from this place! They install defective merchandise and don't stand behind the product. They are crooks! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere reputable. Bait and switch!! Horrible customer service! Don't believe the 5 star reviews. Spent over $20,000, now service manager won't honor the price that was posted on the product we chose. I have been dealing with this for over 2 years, hoping for a resolution.

Happy with our new carpet from point of sale through installation and cleanup. It rained hard the day of install and the crew drove up as close to the garage as possible to avoid getting the carpet wet. They were respectful and made sure we checked the color for accuracy.

Flooring Expo by Carpet King Was so helpful with helping me find a flooring that goes with our current trim. We went with Manila Oak by a Cortec and the flooring is absolutely perfect ! It’s waterproof and scratch proof and very durable and comfortable to walk on. They were able to install within 2 weeks of purchase and the installers only took 1 day! Very fast hard workers and they did an amazing job. Very happy with everything! Scott was so helpful from everything! He helped me find the floor and was also so supportive and helpful throughout the whole project. -Jamie H

The Flooring Expo team in Burnsville was huge help to us in planning and installation of our new floor. We worked with them to review many samples to match our existing decor. When we found a brand that matched but wasn't offered through their showroom, they special ordered the flooring at a very competitive price. They worked with us on a number of scheduling issues and changes to the plan as we went along. They were a pleasure to work with the entire time and we would highly recommend them.

I am so very pleased with the flooring and installation through Flooring Expo/Carpet King in Burnsville! Scott and Lisa were so accommodating and helpful. The installers showed up on time and worked so very hard. They did a beautiful job! I will definitely be going back there when I purchase new carpet for my upstairs floor!
