Thank you for the care you took in installing new vinyl flooring in my laundry room. First, Michael and Connor in the Flooring Expo store Minnetonka explained the type of flooring needed in a laundry room with a floor drain. They also explained the installer would remove the washer & dryer as well as the quarter round trim against the baseboard. Because the project included a new furnace and water heater involving multiple trips by three companies, I needed assurance Flooring Expo would be reliable. Eric was the Installer and he does exceptional work. I am quite particular and Eric's work is great. He and I went over specifics before he began working and I felt so wonderful and trusting of him on the job. He is a true craftsman. Love the new flooring! The project was completed on schedule and I strongly recommend Flooring Expo.

The Minnetonka store exceeded my expectations. Thanks to Mike G. for helping me choose the right kitchen floor, Marty in Customer Service for answering my questions, and Nafis for the beautiful install. I love my new floor and will definitely go there again.

We needed downstairs carpet replaced on short notice after some spring basement flooding. I worked with Will and was extremely happy with the quality of service received from start to finish. He took the time to learn what we were looking for, shared appropriate options and didn’t push toward anything in particular. Pricing was certainly fair and install was timely and professional. I hope to not need new carpet or other flooring again anytime soon, but if I do this place will be my first call. Highly recommend.

Carla, Mike, Heather and the friendly staff also at the St. Louis Park store were helpful to us in finding ZERO VOC (I believe it is Mohawk air.o New Beginning I) carpet that would work in our living room without adhesive. We had a couple issues we noticed after the installers left: apparently a quarter size bit of glue or adhesive had gotten into the fibers in the middle of a roll (?) and hardened before they delivered/installed it, and there were gaps in the corners of the step showing the attached underpad. But Giuliano and Carla worked with me and the installer came back and re-worked the step corners tightly and to our satisfaction. He was also able to carefully clip the hard gluey fibers out of the carpet without it showing or affecting the warranty. He was unable to repair a chip and scratches in the wood trim that happened during their removal of our old carpet, but between that issue and a mistake on a charge for moving furniture that we actually moved out of the room ourselves pre-installation, Flooring Expo compensated us financially on our final bill. We still feel like you can see the seam slightly between the two installed sections of carpet, but overall we're satisfied with the project. I found the staff pleasant, courteous, professional and willing to make things right. Carla, particularly, called frequently and kept us up to date at every stage of the process. I think I would recommend them to a friend and I'd consider using them again.

Good carpet choices, good install

The Ridgdale Carpet King was very helpful in my choices and knowledgeable about the carpet products. Carla and Marty were both exceptional in their customer service. The installer was very good and on time and hard working. I would recommend Carpet King the Ridgedale location. My carpet looks wonderful!

Although it took a lot longer to receive our flooring then we hoped, since it was back ordered, this is happening every where. The wait was worth it! Flooring Expo just finished installing the rest of our triple carpet change-overs (entire upstairs, sun porch, & main to lower stairs). We are totally delighted with everything they did for us, from Heather's initial super-helpful assist (e.g. highest traffic steps got a carpet with wool & a pad to suit that & its higher traffic), to Heather's double-check on our order pattern & colors before the factory made it (peace of mind), to Heather's follow-ups just ahead of install (to remind us to ask for nice 'same-dye-lot spare--repair-squares' in case of future disaster) and after install (she told me how best to store spares safely by doing what their warehouse does - wrapping 'em in plastic). . Installation crew was really good at what they do (great seams & butts to tile edge in bathrooms etc), and did a perfect job.

I was looking for flooring and I talked with Heather about flooring. I asked about moving furniture and leveling floor if needed. She stated they did not do that and gave me the name of a contractor. I moved on and I found another company that was full service. Heather called asking about my project. I returned the call and let her I found another place which would move furniture. Heather said we move furniture. Did you ask? Yes. I called to say, please do not call me anymore. She started to go on and on. I just hung up the phone. She called me back to say I was a rude person and hung up. Very telling.

The actually luxury vinyl flooring that they put in looked great. The process to nail down the pricing, have them follow up with you on details (customer service) — that was 1/5 stars.

Definitely go here first if you are wanting to learn about luxury vinyl and what options are out there. I spoke with Marti and she told me about all the different kinds, all the different thicknesses, what everything means. We didn’t end up buying with them because we moved out of state and they didn’t have a company outside of MN. But I did want to put in a positive review for all the expertise she shared with me. I even called her back from out of town to ask her opinion on what I was thinking to buy because that’s how helpful she was to me.

Tony Engle helped me choose the perfect carpet for the lower level in my home. The whole transaction was handled professionally, including the installation. My husband and I are very pleased with the results.

12/4/2020 (carpet tear out and install) started at about 4:00 pm. It's now after 10:30pm on a Friday night and they are still here! We only have 14 steps and a small living room. Absolutely ridiculous to have worker's still here!! It appeared that there was only one installer that knew what he was doing and the other two basically watching the entire time. The next day (when it was actually light) we are finding bad cuts and poor seems. I'll be honest here, we went off of reviews hoping for the best. I feel that for the service provided, workmanship, scheduling and price, we wish we purchased elsewhere. I'm feeling like at this point all that this company does is get as much money out of the homeowners as possible, and subcontract the work out to a bunch of hacks! I don't believe for a second that this company has a single in-house crew. Imo all sub, no quality control and zero follow up to make sure that the job went well. ONLY in it for the money imo, quality and customer care comes second or even third.

UPDATE 12/04: They sent the wrong amount of carpet again. Leaving us with multiple seams in a high traffic hallway. We were told the entire hallway would be replaced with a seam at the door way, and then a seam down at the end of the hallway. However, we were refined $100 for the inconvenience we have experienced. We had Mike come to our home through the shop at home program at carpet king. He was wonderful to work with. We signed a purchase agreement on 10/23. I was told we would get a call when the carpet arrived. After waiting almost 2 weeks, I contacted Mike to get an update. He checked into it and I was called the next day by scheduling. Carpet was installed on 11/6. The installers figured out that we were short 2 feet of carpet and couldn’t finish the project. After being here from 8 am until 4 pm, to carpet roughly 850 sq ft of space, I was left with my hallway not complete. Again, I had to call scheduling to figure out when they were coming back to finish. I was told the carpet would arrive on 11/19 and would be installed 11/20. I received a confirmation call on 11/19 telling me to expect a call between 7 am and 9 am to confirm the time they would be arriving. At 10 am, I called Scheduling and Left a message. At 10:30 I called the main carpet king number and finally spoke to Juliana. He informed the truck hadn’t arrived yet and it might not get done today. He called me an hour later to let me know the truck won’t make it on time and won’t be unloaded until Monday or Tuesday of NEXT week. Due to the holidays and being out of town, we now have to wait until 12/4 to have our carpet installation finished. They have offered no compensation in any form for the inconvenience. If you decide to use this company be sure to have them measure several times and confirm the dimensions of your rooms. Otherwise you’ll be waiting 6 weeks for your installation to be completed.

Worked with Heather and she was great throughout the whole process! Never felt pressurd to make a decision, took me about three months to decide to move forward after finishing up some other details in my remodel. Team was great in letting me run in and borrow the vinyl plank sample to make sure it fit with othe decisions I was considering!

The demo and install only took 2 days?!? And, the installers were so nice and mindful of our house and neighbors. I really appreciated that. I was somewhat reluctant to install engineered floors, but I'm so glad I made the decision! The new floor has been in place for over 2 months and just about everything that you could imagine would happen with 3 cats and a toddler has happened and not a single scratch, discoloration or stain?!?!?! My daughter managed to even color on the floor with a permanent marker!!! I almost passed out when I saw it, but with a little bit of dawn soap and elbow grease, I got it out! My biggest reluctance with engineered floors was around the design and if it would look like real wood flooring. The texture and color of the floors looks so much like real oak. It has shades of grey and brown, so during the day with natural light, more of the grey tones pop and during night with ambient lighting, the warm brown pops. The grain design and color looks timeless. I'm so happy with this, that I'm thinking about replacing the flooring on the second level. I can't wait to see how it will hold up to salt and snow during winter.

We installed new carpet in our bedroom, closet and office. We were very picky about the type of carpet for pets and the color and texture. We went back and forth for months trying to decide. Marti helped us pick out our carpet and assured us the installation would be top of the line. We were extremely happy with our selection! Marti followed through on every detail of the project. We would buy from her again in the future.

Our salesperson was personable, knowledgable and professional. We are very happy with the carpet and pad and the installation is excellent. We have made several purchases from Carpet King over the years and will continue to do so. Very satisfied.

Home Depot completely screwed me over on an installation at the last moment while I was trying to sell my house. I went to Carpet King, explained the situation, and they were incredible! They found me a better quality flooring, got the measurement guy out the next morning, and had the flooring installed within days. They did it cheaper than Home Depot too! These guys were incredibly helpful. Highly recommend them.
