I had a flood in my basement and initially made the mistake of using a contractor who tried to cheat me with cheap carpet (replacing my high-end nylon carpet with low-end polyester). When I realized the new carpet didn't feel right, I went to Carpet King for help, and Mitchell really saved me. So helpful, responsive, and friendly! Provided me all the information I needed to refute the false claims from my first contractor and force him to remove the cheap stuff. Then I was able to work with Carpet King to get the right carpet installed, and I'm thrilled with the results! Great carpet at the right price. Thanks, Mitchell!

The team at Flooring Expo by Carpet King in Plymouth did a great job of providing one on one advice and expertise. I explained what I was looking for and within a couple of minutes they had the perfect match available. On top of the service, they were reasonable when discussing price and finalizing the sale. I would definitely purchase from them again! (and I am not related to anyone that works there)

I would love to give Carpet King and Mitchell 5 stars… the experience was great working with Mitchell and getting his expertise on type of carpet for our project and getting it within our budget. However, he did not update the order once we decided on a color and the wrong color arrived. Luckily I caught it prior to install but they already ripped up part of the carpet for our space to not be functional, furniture moved into the other rooms, no thought to my time off work to deal with the install, pet care costs, etc. It’s been over a week and I haven’t heard any communication from them on estimated time for the correct carpet to arrive. I’m disappointed as I left messages and have not heard back, and thus I give a 2 star review for subpar customer service and lack of attention to detail through the end.

I have had very good luck with this company. This time installers missed the mark. Just had the basement remodeled. To much talking on the phone instead of paying attention to the job. Chunk of wood knocked out of the new baseboard, glue on the walls, and on the the new vanity top. New door was pushed so hard when installing carpet that the door would not shut. They left their vacuum at another job so I needed to supply. Good company, bad installer!

Mitchell’s wide range of knowledge made the entire process a complete cakewalk. I enjoyed working with him on this project and look forward to working with him on many projects to come. As a note- I drive past two other Flooring Expo locations just to work with him directly.

I would like to give a big shout of Thank you to Marti Runeborg at Flooring Expo for helping resolved our flooring issue; without her intervention we will waiting for a while. We purchased our laminate floor in March 2021and noticed in June 2022 some of the flooring plank was loose and we called Flooring Expo. They sent out an inspector and they concluded that the flooring needs to be replaced. We were working with the installation manager, but he was not feeling well for more than a week. But Marti stepped in to help us order our flooring and schedule installation as well. Without Marti intervention in a timely manner, we wouldn’t have a floor. She kept us informed every step of the way. Flooring Expo clearly demonstrated that they stand behind the work and warranties. Not many businesses do that these days. I recommend you go with real professionals Flooring Expo by Carpet King.

We shopped four places for stairway carpet. We found the carpet we wanted at two of these. Flooring Expo price was significantly less than the other store. The installation went well and we are very happy with the pricing and the installation. This is the second project we have done with Flooring Expo (the first being a luxury vinyl installation). We worked with Michael on both projects and were very satisfied with the results.

They get the job done fast. Are they the cheapest, not even close. But then you don’t have to mess around with contractors and installers. They’re a one stop shop. So there’s a trade off but the work is good and fast.

Thank you for the care you took in installing new vinyl flooring in my laundry room. First, Michael and Connor in the Flooring Expo store Minnetonka explained the type of flooring needed in a laundry room with a floor drain. They also explained the installer would remove the washer & dryer as well as the quarter round trim against the baseboard. Because the project included a new furnace and water heater involving multiple trips by three companies, I needed assurance Flooring Expo would be reliable. Eric was the Installer and he does exceptional work. I am quite particular and Eric's work is great. He and I went over specifics before he began working and I felt so wonderful and trusting of him on the job. He is a true craftsman. Love the new flooring! The project was completed on schedule and I strongly recommend Flooring Expo.

Carla, Mike, Heather and the friendly staff also at the St. Louis Park store were helpful to us in finding ZERO VOC (I believe it is Mohawk air.o New Beginning I) carpet that would work in our living room without adhesive. We had a couple issues we noticed after the installers left: apparently a quarter size bit of glue or adhesive had gotten into the fibers in the middle of a roll (?) and hardened before they delivered/installed it, and there were gaps in the corners of the step showing the attached underpad. But Giuliano and Carla worked with me and the installer came back and re-worked the step corners tightly and to our satisfaction. He was also able to carefully clip the hard gluey fibers out of the carpet without it showing or affecting the warranty. He was unable to repair a chip and scratches in the wood trim that happened during their removal of our old carpet, but between that issue and a mistake on a charge for moving furniture that we actually moved out of the room ourselves pre-installation, Flooring Expo compensated us financially on our final bill. We still feel like you can see the seam slightly between the two installed sections of carpet, but overall we're satisfied with the project. I found the staff pleasant, courteous, professional and willing to make things right. Carla, particularly, called frequently and kept us up to date at every stage of the process. I think I would recommend them to a friend and I'd consider using them again.
