Upon entering the store i was helped by a gentleman named Alec. He was very helpful in answering the questions I had about carpet and went above and beyond in ahowing me various samples that are within my price range. It was a great experience and I look forward to working with him.

We moved into our house in White Bear Lake less than a week ago and needed to find a couple of rooms of great carpet that could be installed before the movers arrived. Alec was amazing and worked through every detail with me right away, drove to our new house right after I came into the showroom to verify measurements, and got it scheduled for just a few days later for install. Jose was a great install lead and they were in and out quickly, leaving no mess! The even left us a tidy roll of excess of we wanted to keep it. Thanks again for meeting our crazy deadline, and for being so professional and prompt with all communication! We love the carpet!

We purchased flooring for our whole house. Susan and Alec were super to work with. Their expertise helped us purchase flooring to modernize our home and look great. We had distinct needs based on the room we were choosing flooring for as part of a remidel. They were very easy to work with through the procees. Especially with supply chain issues and the time everything takes. Our flooring was delivered as promised. They were really great about holding our flooring until it fit into our remodel schedule. Excellent customer service and followup. Been doing business with them for many years and will continue to give them my business.

I have used Flooring Expo in Maplewood a handful of times to purchase carpet and install. Delivery and install happened when I was told it would, in much shorter timeframes than the big box stores and the end result was top notch.

A huge thank you to Alec! We needed 5 rooms of carpet and quick! We had a particular date that we wanted the carpet to be laid as the movers would be delivering our belongings to our new house the following day. Alec was able to answer all of our questions and then able to meet our deadline. Two problems arose along the way like they sometimes do, but Alec worked even harder to meet our needs. With the professional teamwork by Flooring Expo/Carpet King, I had new carpet put in my entire house. From the minute I walked in the store, Rachel helped me figure out options - and she took the time to get to know me a little to make sure that my style and the pros and cons of different options were clear to me. I really appreciated that and it assured me I was going to like working with this company. Alec Eardley was my estimator and he was extremely professional in measuring my home and going over the pricing and scheduling. His communication and consideration for my timeline was reassuring. The crew that installed the carpet was top notch. They were polite and considerate and worked with such focus and professionalism that I knew I would love the result - and I do! They did an excellent job carpeting my home just one week after I contacted them for the first time. Alec was great at moving things along and keeping me updated. I would highly recommend them for any carpet installation job, but especially one that needs to be done very soon!

The product we chose was initially found in other store, but Alec helped us to get a lower price and faster delivery. We was told by other vender this vinyl plank is a 20mil product, but when we were purchasing it we found the official website was showing a different information. Thanks to Alec and his manager, they made several calls to verify the product information and even offered us a backup plan avoiding any loss of us. The whole experience was pleasant and satisfactory, really appreciate all the works they have done.

Khong helped from beginning to end of our purchasing carpet and luxury vinyl flooring--excellent service and took care of any questions in a timely manner. Wish is would have used a big box store. Stuck with 2 full boxes and one room divider. This stuff is expensive and to end up with half a box is fine but 2 full boxes that I can return for me feels like I am screwed. I am not the one who measured they were. So they should take it back. My salesman was very nice. Also my floor which was twice as much as Home Depot has already has a couple little scratch’s. So fussed it’s good I have the boxes. But to expensive to take it down and scratch’s not that bad. Mostly angry I have expensive boxes they won’t take back. I can see that if I had done my own measurements . I used this store because I wanted to help a smaller type store and was told this was great. Next time I will be more careful making sure I can return

Walked in to this place and I met with old lady who was one of the sales lady, I was asking questions about the vinyl floors but this lady was very rude to me, was very condescending I did not feel very welcomed, so I left and look for another store. They just lost a customer because of some bad customer service. I would never recommend this place.

Kathy was excellent to work with and the carpet was ordered and installed in no time! I’d recommend this company to anyone!

Alec was very helpful throughout the process of the purchase and installation of my carpet. He was very knowledgeable of all the pros and cons of each type of carpet and advised me on the best quality for my budget.

Terrible Experience. Stair Carpet. I’d avoid in the future. The installers arrived with a van full of carpet rolls and asked me to come and pick out my carpet because they didn’t know what roll was ours. There was a van full of carpet and I had to help unroll carpet to find ours. Unprofessional start. We shared how we wanted the stairs to be one piece into the landing. Now we have a weird detail with a piece of wood showing between the stair and landing. They tried to correct this, but were unsuccessful. Based off the suggestion from our sales rep, we told the installers to measure the carpet off an architectural detail. We showed them where to measure off of. When the new runner arrived, it’s clear they measured wrong. The installer starts to install the runner. Customer support blamed it on a miscommunication and said to keep the runner wide (even though it looks worse and it was their suggestion to come off the architectural detail). At the end of the install they discover after installing over 3/4 of the stairs that there is a defect with the carpet. He tells me he has to rip it out. I ask if it can stay temporarily since we have a crawling baby - they said no. He begins to rip it out. As he rips it out, he starts to pull off our stair finish boards (these are still not fixed). I have to help him pull off the carpet to reduce further damage. Since they installed the runner too wide, we have fresh holes and staples in our newly finished wood floors. They left the site without cleaning up. There are exposed staples and we have a baby that just learned to crawl. We get to wait 6 weeks for new carpet to arrive. They never sent anyone to cleanup.

Great experience! I worked with Alec. Great costumer service all around. He was very professional and educated in his job field. He answered all of our questions and in a timely fashion. He was also very flexible with my wife and I personal lives and made it a point to work around our schedule which was so important for us. The price for the whole job was very competitive. It wasn’t the cheapest bid we got but for the top notch quality products and service we got it was well worth paying the little bit of extra cash. I Would recommend carpet king to anyone and when I’m due for completing my next job I’ll be going with Alec and carpet king again! Thank You Team Carpet King!

My parents have gotten carpet here for years and have also recommended to many family and friends who haven gotten their carpet through this business. My parents got new carpet in their living room three years ago and it just started bulging up and needed to be stretched. An employee came out to stretch the carpet and ended up putting a hole in the carpet with his machine. He was able to patch the the hole but now it looks funny and when you walk over that spot, you can feel a hard bump in the carpet. My dad called the store to report and they said they couldn’t do anything about it cause the carpet only has a one year warranty. So in conclusion, they came to fix our carpet and wrecked it even more but can’t do anything about it. It is sad to say but we will no longer be going through this company nor will we be recommending them to anyone. After years of our business (and I mean 30+ years) you think they would do better.

We've had both vinyl and carpeting installation done - the most recent was a tricky carpeting job in family room, with big brick fireplace, alcove and the riser for the step up to breakfast room - installers did a great job.
