The hard surface installation process took way longer than I anticipated. The carpet installation covering 14 stairs ect. Seemed 2 have been timely.

Communiction and service was excellent. I brought home dozens of carpets and worked with the store manager to procure multiple tech sheets quickly. I had plenty of phone calls and emails and reaponse and attention to detail was fantastic. I worked with other sales people at other retailers and some saw these inquiries as a burden and even dailed to follow through, but not here. I consider myself a vary hands on consumer with high expectations and Carpet Expo worked with me to exceed my expectations, which is very rare! I appreciate how patient, helpful and honest they were helping me choose carpet and LVP. They did not try to sell me on something i did not need and the experience was much less stressful than it could have been. Garret the store manager was amazing!

Carlos and crew did an amazing job getting our carpet installed in one day. Entire process was smooth & easy. Mike did a great job with the in home estimate and explained everything clearly. Highly recommend Flooring Expo!!

We had carpet king install new carpet upstairs and 7 years later it looks awful. Poor quality product, shoddy workmanship and it is fraying and shows sign of wear and tear. It needs replacing and we're seniors with no kids in the home who take good care of our home. They are expensive too. Not worth it and really regret using carpet king

I had a great experience with Flooring Expo, Garrett, the sales manager and installers. He did a great job of telling me my options. He was patient and there was no pressure which I like. He understood I was only looking to put inexpensive flooring in my townhome because I will be selling in the spring and didn't pressure me to put in more expensive carpet than needed for the situation. I plan to use them to do my other two floors and when I move into my new home at which point I will spend more and get better quality. The installers came out two days after I made a decision on the carpet I wanted and did a great job! I have no complaints!

I felt reassured that all would be taken care of because of his quick calls on questions I had. Sergey, was the person who installed my floor and he did an amazing job. He was professional and friendly along with working alone from the morning to late in the evening. Truly dedicated to doing a great job and finishing the same day. I am very happy with my floor.

Went around the metro getting ideas of cost for redoing about 2000 sq ft of floor. Stopped into the Flooring Expo Maple Grove location and had a great experience with Jeremy. Definitely learned some things I wasn't thinking of initially, and never felt like a sale was being pushed like other places. Once my ducks are in a row, I'll definitely be heading back to Flooring Expo, as they've earned my business.

This place has horrible customer service. The two older gentlemen were very unprofessional and unknowledgeable in flooring products. With several other places in town for flooring options I highly do not recommend going here. Not a good start when both are watching movies on their computers and take awhile to greet you.

Our sales person, Gerald Lawhon, was great to work with and if I were just rating our experience with him it would be 5 stars. However, Gerald has been basically the only positive light in our carpet experience with Flooring Expo by Carpet King. We got carpet installed with Carpet King about 4 years ago in a bedroom and had a good experience. We wanted to get the same carpet installed in the bedroom/office across the hall this summer and decided the easiest route was to go through Carpet King again. The day our carpet was supposed to installed we were supposed to get a call between 7-9 confirming the installation time. I waited until 10:30 without hearing from them before calling Gerald. After some digging he was able to find out the install team had called in sick. We were rescheduled for the next available day, which was a Monday when the original carpet was to be installed on a Thursday. This was very inconvenient as the room is my husband's office, where he works from home and we had taken the whole room apart for the install, but we made it work for the two business days. When the carpet installers arrived Monday we discovered that the wrong size carpet had been ordered and there wasn't enough carpet to finish the job. Thankfully, there was enough to do the room, but not to finish the closet so more had to be ordered. This whole experience has been far less than ideal. We will see how long the additional carpet takes to come in for the closet and if there are more hiccups to come.

I had our kitchen floor replace by them. They came out the size everything up did a wonderful job at doing it. I stopped by and have some advice for a hole that happen in our vinyl floor.

This is being written by her son on behalf of my mom. They are good when you want to buy carpet but terrible on the service side of their business. My elderly mother bought carpet 5 years ago. Now the carpet has been buckling and Carpet King is only willing to stretch the carpet again instead of replacing the defective carpet. My mother lives alone so this carpet should have lasted more than 5 years. it just feels like they are taking advantage of the elderly with this poor customer service. My mother has been going back and forth with them for a month with no satisfactory resolution. They provide lip service on the phone when they say "we want to make this right." They have no interest in making it right, they only want to pacify my mom to frustrate her to the point of dropping the issue. They are all about the sale - forget about the service. We are having the faulty carpet replaced by Home Depot who stands behind their products and service. Response to Carpet King - We have been working with your service department or LACK of service department - for over a month without a satisfactory response. It feels like the longer they drag this process out the more likely we will drop the issue. Well Carpet King you get your wish because we are going to Home Depot because we will not spend $1 with you. After 5 years you are only offering a stipend for a 10 year warranted carpet. Anyone reading this should spend their hard earned money elsewhere. By from Carpet King at your own risk.

Mr. James Harris helped me to choose a durable, affordable, and aesthetically pleasing carpet for my basement in my new home. Not only is the carpet the perfect color, texture, and thickness, installation was optimal. I was able to have the carpet installed at a time that worked best in my schedule, in a timely fashion, with professional and courteous installers. The installers did a perfectly professional job-they left no signs they were ever there! My experience left nothing to be desired by Mr. Harris and Carpet King-Flooring Expo. I will continue to utilize Carpet King-Flooring Expo as my first choice and highly recommend them to all I encounter with flooring needs. Outstanding Service! Having numerous rental properties, I buy alot of flooring. I met Jim many years back at the St. Louis Park store and followed him to the Maple Grove store. I always get what I need, am given numerous options with pro/cons (price/quality etc). Extremely fast service and ALWAYS follow through by Jim! Jim makes my life easier and my properties look great.I have no doubts when Jim handles my flooring needs :)

Poor service and charge for replacement

Terrible Experience. Stair Carpet. I’d avoid in the future. The installers arrived with a van full of carpet rolls and asked me to come and pick out my carpet because they didn’t know what roll was ours. There was a van full of carpet and I had to help unroll carpet to find ours. Unprofessional start. We shared how we wanted the stairs to be one piece into the landing. Now we have a weird detail with a piece of wood showing between the stair and landing. They tried to correct this, but were unsuccessful. Based off the suggestion from our sales rep, we told the installers to measure the carpet off an architectural detail. We showed them where to measure off of. When the new runner arrived, it’s clear they measured wrong. The installer starts to install the runner. Customer support blamed it on a miscommunication and said to keep the runner wide (even though it looks worse and it was their suggestion to come off the architectural detail). At the end of the install they discover after installing over 3/4 of the stairs that there is a defect with the carpet. He tells me he has to rip it out. I ask if it can stay temporarily since we have a crawling baby - they said no. He begins to rip it out. As he rips it out, he starts to pull off our stair finish boards (these are still not fixed). I have to help him pull off the carpet to reduce further damage. Since they installed the runner too wide, we have fresh holes and staples in our newly finished wood floors. They left the site without cleaning up. There are exposed staples and we have a baby that just learned to crawl. We get to wait 6 weeks for new carpet to arrive. They never sent anyone to cleanup.
