Mark Joyce is the best guy I've had the privilege of working with for any home remodeling project I've ever done. He knows the right cadence to be contacting you through the process, he listens and knows what you want and how to help! Most importantly, Mark cares! It took some time for me in making my selections, but Scott is a very helpful, patient and a kind sales rep to work with. Install process was seamless and very happy with Shaw carpet as of now! Pricing was advantageous. Be sure to check proposed seams and amount of waste so not paying for unnecessary excess. Based on my experience, I would order with Scott at Flooring Expo again.

I had my house re-carpeted by flooring expo in Burnsville last month and I cannot recommend them enough. Scott was very communicative and helpful, and all around a pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond as far as being accommodating and the crews who did the split install were great. I had initially looked at Home Depot but I so glad I went with this company instead.

We couldn’t be happier with our new floors! Scott Klinepier worked as our sales representative and bent over backwards to get us the perfect flooring. We spent over a month bringing sample after sample home and Scott helped us the whole way. The demo and installers were polite and efficient. Demo on day one and installation on day two! 900 square feet (Living room, hall, two sets of stairs, foyer, kitchen and dining room). Our floors are absolutely stunning! We’ll be back for our carpet needs later! Way to go Burnsville Flooring Expo!

Scott (Burnsville), the Salesman was great to communicate with. He took in my request, said he was going to make a few phone calls, then called me back stating he could get what I wanted. He was very knowledgeable, knew the manufacturer was sold, knew the purchasing company. And got ‘er done.

Will never use again….ever! The sales guy Scott is great, super nice, helpful before the sale, not super pushy. After that it was a disaster. We had a section of wood flooring put in after they removed part of the carpet. The first installer wasn’t comfortable stretching the carpet to tack it against the new wood floor so he left it along with this red mark where he cut. I assumed the red mark would be tucked under when they tacked it. The second guy comes out to tack the carpet, the carpet won’t stretch far enough to cover the red mark they left and the tacks were coming through the carpet drawing blood if you stepped on one. Called again about the red mark and tacks. Third installer comes out, says it’s messed up, takes a few pictures and heads out. All the while Scott doesn’t return my calls and customer services tells me that after install the store and sales person doesn’t help, I just need to deal with customer service. Customer service sends a carpet cleaner out, that gets most of the red mark, which is now Just a light pink fade. The person who is to fix the tack issue called and left a message. I called back and left a message and here I am still waiting. I guess we will do it ourselves. Just another company who takes your money and once they have it, they don’t care if the job is done correctly or not. Stay far away from this unless you enjoy headaches.

My selection of carpet was delayed by the factory passed an acceptable date so my sales rep was able to substitute it and have it installed in two days for the same price!

Terrible Experience. Stair Carpet. I’d avoid in the future. The installers arrived with a van full of carpet rolls and asked me to come and pick out my carpet because they didn’t know what roll was ours. There was a van full of carpet and I had to help unroll carpet to find ours. Unprofessional start. We shared how we wanted the stairs to be one piece into the landing. Now we have a weird detail with a piece of wood showing between the stair and landing. They tried to correct this, but were unsuccessful. Based off the suggestion from our sales rep, we told the installers to measure the carpet off an architectural detail. We showed them where to measure off of. When the new runner arrived, it’s clear they measured wrong. The installer starts to install the runner. Customer support blamed it on a miscommunication and said to keep the runner wide (even though it looks worse and it was their suggestion to come off the architectural detail). At the end of the install they discover after installing over 3/4 of the stairs that there is a defect with the carpet. He tells me he has to rip it out. I ask if it can stay temporarily since we have a crawling baby - they said no. He begins to rip it out. As he rips it out, he starts to pull off our stair finish boards (these are still not fixed). I have to help him pull off the carpet to reduce further damage. Since they installed the runner too wide, we have fresh holes and staples in our newly finished wood floors. They left the site without cleaning up. There are exposed staples and we have a baby that just learned to crawl. We get to wait 6 weeks for new carpet to arrive. They never sent anyone to cleanup.

This was our second purchase from Flooring Expo, we had an equally amazing experience with the one in St. Louis Park. In SLP we purchased luxury vinyl plank and this time we purchased carpet. Both experiences were fantastic! From order to install with our carpet took less than 2 weeks. Deciding on carpet was a breeze! Kristi is so knowledgeable and took a few ideas we had and our price point and provided us with options, which helped identify exactly what we wanted. Install was great! Start to finish they tore out and put in 450 square feet in about 2.5 hours. Bonus! They will haul away and recycle so that your old carpet doesn’t end up in a landfill. So many great things to say. Again, make sure you ask for Kristi! She is knowledgable, professional, and helped us narrow down exactly what we wanted. Thanks for the amazing experience and fantastic communication throughout the process.

Worked with John & Scott to get flooring for our bathroom. We were pretty last minute getting to them, but they crushed it by keeping in contact with us consistently to ensure that we would have it in time! I was SO impressed by the quality of customer service and simply how kind and friendly the employees were here.

We purchased laminate flooring to replace both a tile floor and a cork floor at Burnsville Carpet King. We worked with Scott, the manager at the store. Scott was helpful, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. The installers were prompt- arriving at 9 in the morning, and working until 8 that night to get the job finished- very friendly and they did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves and left no mess at all. Will definitely recommend Scott and his location, and will use again when we finish our basement next year!

Friendly staff and knowledgeable. The Burnsville, MN store has great variety and prices that will fit any budget. The quality of carpet shows in their samples. They also do garage floor coverings which is my next project.

We’ve had a terrible experience with Carpet King. We purchased bathroom flooring & a bathroom countertop. The biggest issue from the start has been the massive lack of communication. My husband has had to call and email multiple times to get timelines, and has needed to reschedule BOTH installs due to the teams just showing up at our house without notice and a lack of communication on what we needed to do to prep for the installs. If you’re looking for a project to take MONTHS instead of weeks, give you headaches every couple of weeks, and just generally piss you off, please call Carpet King and schedule your appointment today!
