Easy process. Quality installation. Would recommend.
Installers called and asked if they could come early as they had finished the earlier install. That was great with me. They moved my furniture and they were both friendly and did the job quickly. I am very happy with my carpet.

Mike was great at helping me pick a good quality vinyl for the basement. The seven person crew has the large area done in one day!

Everything happened as promised. Installation was done as promised and there were no extra costs. The one thing that I was not aware of was that there was a seam in the carpeting (it was two pieces instead of one). Would have been nice to know that up front.

Easy working with sales rep. And ordering of carpet. Installation was professionally done by installers. Would buy again. Second time purchasing carpet from Carpet King. First carpet lasted about 30 years so I figure this carpet should last just as long.

Lived in 5 homes and many carpet though those homes I JUST want thank Carpet King from the sales representative to the office manager to the installers thank you the best look no further then Carpet King thank you

My wife and I purchase a new vinyl floor from the Burnsville location. The sales team and installers were great to work with, which makes me regret needing to leave a one star review. My wife and I were never provided with the manufacturer’s care instructions until we noticed staining underneath a standard rubber-backed welcome mat we placed next to our door. I initially called the Burnsville store to ask if they had any solutions for getting the stain up. The sales person told me that he had never heard of this being an issue with the product and he would check with his supplier and the manufacturer. He made me believe this would be made right, one way or another. Lo and behold, the manufacturer’s care instructions (the same ones that had never been given to me) clearly say rubber may cause staining. So, the manufacturer’s warranty would not cover the damage. Makes sense—it’s not their fault the sales team failed to provide me with their instructions. The thing that surprised me was that Carpet King refused to do anything to make this right. It’s clearly their obligation to provide me with all material facts I need to know about the new flooring. Why would anyone believe a standard home furnishing like a welcome mat could cause permanent discoloration? And yet, here we are. Their customer service manager has been nothing but a jerk about this entire issue and now I’m left with no choice but to sue. For what it’s worth, I have spoken to two competitors who were both appalled that Carpet King does not provide customers with care instructions and that Carpet King refused to fix their own screw up. At the end of the day, I’d rather pay a little more to a company that stands by their product and admits their own fault than end up in this situation. Consumer beware!

Sales Rep was helpful and easy to work with. The lady on the phone was also helpful when we had questions prior to carpet installation and scheduling. The three guys that came out to install were kind and finished within couple hours and cleaned up afterwards. I would use these guys again in the future for sure.

They did an excellent job with discussing the process, installation, movement of furniture and haul out of old carpet. The sales rep came in and was very knowledgeable. He had been working with the company for over 20 years. All other companies I interviewed, their sales people had only been there 5 years. The price quote was also the lowest out of some of the other major carpet suppliers. I absolutely love my carpet! They also provide a lifetime warranty on the carpet for the time you remain in the home.

Similar to other posters, we had used this company several years ago and had a great experience. We tried them again, and this time it was the complete opposite experience. Of course, with supply chain issues, the carpet took forever to arrive -- we can accept that. Then they required that we pay 100% of the payment before they would schedule the install. When we pushed back that it would give us no leverage if there was an issue, the manager told us that he "would personally be there to take care of us if there were any issues." Right. So that day of install arrived, and we were scheduled for a 3:00 appt. We removed every stick of furniture from the space to ensure an easy install. We were stunned when the installers were still there at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00 -- finally wrapping up at 11:00 PM on a weeknight! 11 hours for a roughly 1200 SF space with no furniture to move or adjust. Then there were quality issues with the install, especially on the stairs where in some places the carpet buckles up as it is cut too large, and in other places it is cut too small and you can see the pad beneath. Further, the walls were damaged in several places during the course of the effort. When we reached out to them to address the problems -- SURPRISE! -- we got sent over to a customer service hotline and our good friend the manager was nowhere to be found. In short, none of our issues were resolved and we are left with poor service and poor quality. We won't be using them again.

Absolutely terrible from start to finish. This place has really gone downhill over the last few years. About 2 1/2 years ago, I used Carpet King to replace old carpet in three rooms. That experience was fabulous, from the sales to the installation. Fast forward to 2021 when I needed to replace carpet in two of the bedrooms that had just been redone after remodel work ruined the carpet. When I suspected that the sales person they sent was trying to overcharge me, they sent a new sales person and, sure enough, the cost came in nearly $500 less for the exact same carpet. Then came the install. The installers tore up the pad, which they were not supposed to do, then tried to install what they admitted was a lower quality pad. They also told me (contrary to the sales person) that they could not extend the carpet up to the built in closets, so now I have a line where the old carpet meets the new carpet, which is noticeable because of the different dye lots. I understand that the same carpet can have different dye lots, but the entire point of getting the carpet replaced up to the built ins was to avoid this issue. When the carpet was installed, moreover, it felt completely different than the old carpet (different pile). When I asked to show me that the carpet installed was the carpet purchased/ordered, they could not. I called customer service repeatedly during the install to try to rectify these issues in real time, but NO ONE answered over several hours. When I finally reached someone, she admitted that she received my messages, but didn't bother to call me back. And then she just passed me along to a customer service voicemail. So, no resolution and the installers just left. This is one of the worst customer service experiences that I've ever had. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Had Justin from flooring expo out to bid a rental unit and hallway stairs as well as similar units in the building for when we do turnovers. Never got the quote or any callbacks.

I had carpet installed in my entire house. The installation was done very poorly and I've had to contact them multiple times only to have them send the original installer out who would tell me that everything was good. He even came out to look at a carpet pad where the room felt harder then the others. The installer told me the pad looked fine and then proceeded to tell the customer service rep that he was unable to look at it. After I asked for a refund, they sent out a rep from Flooring Expo that confirmed that the pad in that room was the original pad and the installer had not replaced it and then lied about it. Every time I spoke with the rep or the installer, they made me feel like it was me and that I was crazy when, in fact, the job was done carelessly.

Installation, carpet and crew were good. However, a good size hole was left in the drywall and no plan to repair it. 3 staples I found on the floor, one went into my bare heel that bled and one in bedded in the new vinyl floor and a few more in the grass and driveway.

I was very pleased overall with my experience with carpet king. In a day and time when it’s hard to find customer focused service and flexibility they definitely were great to work with. I needed to change the schedule of the installation and they were very accommodating and professional throughout. The installers did a fantastic job and so I wholeheartedly recommend you consider them when you need carpet as well.
